Karim Adeyemi (8/10) – Adeyemi did not stop running for one second and showed a tremendous amount of effort and skill every time he took on Koundé. Unfortunately, he could not find the back of the net.

Serhou Guirassy (10/10) – An excellent night for the Guinean. A hat-trick and a great show of character on giving hope to BVB fans that a miracle was possible. That is why Dortmund signed him, as he compensated for his terrible first-leg performance.

Maxi Beier (7/10) – Good hold-up play and moves from Maxi; however, he could have been more incisive in some 1v1s and missed a few good opportunities.
