Julian Duranville (7/10) - The only substitute that is worth a more detailed mention. When Dortmund was struggling to get the momentum back, he made magic happen and counted on Araujo's mistake to give Guirassy his hat-trick.
Gio Reyna, Julian Brandt & Jamie Gittens (N/A) – Besides Brandt's off-sided goal, all these subs did not have a great impact later in the match.
Niko Kovač (8/10) – It is hard to find any criticism for Niko Kovač tonight. Even with an alternative XI to what we are used to, the Croat put the Catalans in a difficult position in the second leg. His command also deserves compliments, especially how the players' morale seemed elevated even with a 4-nil disadvantage and a high mountain to climb.
His subs, however, did not make the expected impact. Despite Juju's brilliant individualities, the other did not have a significant impact in the match, as BVB could not pass by Barcelona's midfield in an organized manner and overused long balls. Still, it is hard to excessively criticize a manager who gave hope to these fans when hope seemed to be lost after all.
