Julian Ryerson (5/10) - Ryerson was better than Couto since coming in, finding better crosses than the Brazilian. However, it was not enough to change the result.
Maximilian Beier (3/10) - Beier did not offer much since coming in early in the second half, and his missed header is inexplicable.
Marcel Sabitzer, Julien Duranville, Waldemar Anton (N/A) - Came in late in the match and did not have enough time to alter the game.
Niko Kovač (3/10) - The Croatian manager had little to offer to his players in the match. As his team seemed stalled and stuck with the same idea of delivering meaningless crosses into the box, he could not find a way to break the deadlock in a home match. In the second half, the team got worse after his subs and a unit that already struggled to find the correct spaces and create chances became even more predictable for Augsburg to defend. With players out of position and desperate to score, Kovač has a lot to explain after such an infuriating performance like that.
