Borussia Dortmund traveled to Copenhagen on matchday 3 in the Champions League. Felix Nmecha found the back of the net to open the scoring with a stunning strike on his right foot. Anton, unluckily, gave Copenhagen the equalizer after an own goal, a poor clearance from Bensebaini, after a wonderful save by Gregor Kobel, and then hit Anton to lead to the equalizer.

Dortmund seemed to lose momentum, struggling to create clear scoring opportunities for the remainder of the first half, with former Dortmund starlet Moukoko emerging as the standout attacker.

The second half was far more entertaining. Bensebaini scored his second goal of the UCL campaign, converting a penalty, after a foul on Serhou Guirassy. The attacking substitutions of Carney Chukwuemeka and Fabio Silva gave the Black and Yellows much more of a spark going forward than what was being offered with Julian Brandt and Maxi Beier. Carney Chukwuemeka provided an assist for Felix Nmecha, who struck another long-range effort that took a slight deflection to wrong-foot the keeper, and put Borussia Dortmund up three to one.

Fabio Silva continues to impress Borussia Dortmund fans, scoring his first goal as a Borussia Dortmund player through a fantastic right-footed near-post finish. A highlight for Copenhagen fans was the goal from seventeen-year-old Viktor Dadason, which was merely a consolation goal, but it will give the young player a lot of confidence moving forward this season.

Felix Nmecha, by far, was the most impressive Borussia Dortmund player on the pitch today. Still, another midfielder that deserves to be highlighted is Jobe Bellingham, coming off a lot of criticism from fans and pundits around the world, for being at fault for the Bayern Munich winner over the weekend, provided two assists today, and put in an impressive performance.
