Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich have had a long-standing rivalry for as long as the two clubs have existed. In modern times, they are the two faces of German football and have represented the Bundesliga on multiple occasions in the biggest European competition. That said, it's hard to imagine that there would be many players who played for Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Well, there are actually a total of 18 players who played for both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, let's run through them in chronological order, shall we?
1. Jürgen Wegmann
Jürgen Wegmann was the first of the 18 players to play for both Dortmund and Bayern Munich and what's even more bizarre, is he went from Dortmund to Bayern Munich, then BACK to Dortmund. I know, imagine doing that in this day and age (hint hint)...
2. Stefan Reuter
The man who personified versatility since he could play in multiple positions either in defence or midfield, made the switch from Bayern Munich to Borussia Dortmund (albeit, he did take a gap year at Juventus).
Ending his playing career at Borussia Dortmund, he made the right choice in our view since Dortmund was the club he spent the most time representing.
3. Thomas Helmer
Around the same time as Reuter, Thomas Helmer made the switch from Borussia Dortmund TO Bayern Munich. Annoyingly, the traditional centre-back-slash-sweeper played one more league appearances at Bayern than he did with Dortmund.
