1. Ciro Immobile
Given the career he has made for himself in Italy, it is easy to forget that Ciro Immobile was once on the books at Borussia Dortmund. This is because, in truth, Ciro Immobile left little to be desired during his time at the Westfalenstadion.
Signed under Jurgen Klopp, the Italian striker Ciro Immobile was a complete miss at Borussia Dortmund and it never looked like he would progress in the Bundesliga.
Immobile was signed in 2014 but only spent one underwhelming season before he was loaned out to Sevilla. Despite not impressing at Sevilla, they still signed him permanently after two seasons on the books at Dortmund.
After he left the club on loan, Immobile criticised Dortmund for the lack of support they showed to him and his family when he first relocated to Germany. This is a dispute for behind closed doors but on the pitch, Immobile rarely showed passion and he only scored three Bundesliga goals for BVB.
