4. Andre Schurrle

As a German World Cup winner, Andre Schurrle is remembered fondly at a handful of Bundesliga clubs. However, at Borussia Dortmund, he can only be regarded as a transfer flop who really struggled to meet his expectation.

Dortmund spent a lot of money to sign Andre Schurrle after he had impressed at Wolfsburg. That said, clearly playing for Wolfsburg and Dortmund are different kettles of fish since Schurrle did not live up to the hype he had set and instead, at the Westfalenstadion, he reverted back to his Chelsea level of form.

Somehow, Schurrle stayed at Dortmund for four years despite not impressing in a single one of those years. He did win the DFB-Pokal but he should have been sold sooner into his BVB tenure. A player who is best forgotten about at Dortmund, it's fair to say.
