4 Borussia Dortmund players who stepped up a level in 2023/24

A new signing for Borussia Dortmund this season but there is plenty to compare with Marcel Sabitzer, considering he represented Bayern Munich just last season. Marcel Sabitzer has proven to be an excellent signing for Borussia Dortmund and he is becoming a fan favourite, perhaps enhanced by his improvement at BVB as opposed to Bundesliga rivals Bayern.
This season, Sabitzer has scored two goals and provided five assists across all competitions. This is a great return for a midfielder and for context, at Bayern Munich, he scored just one goal and provided one assist last season (along with two goals at Man United on loan).
It is refreshing to see a 30-year-old make this list of most improved Borussia Dortmund players. Since he is under contract until 2027, long may his excellent contributions continue as Sabitzer is capable of so much more.
