Unfortunately for Edin Terzic, he has a suspesnion to ponder to one of his best players in 2024. Ian Maatsen will have to sit out of this match through disciplinary points, after having a great start to his life on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Marius Wolf came off the bench against Bayer Leverkusen and played solidly, for the most-part. While he does not provide the attacking element which Maatsen provides, his defensively sound contributions were of benefit to BVB against the champions Leverkusen and they will be of benefit once again versus RB Leipzig.
Marius Wolf is expected to be handed his 10th Bundesliga start this weekend and only his third of the 2024 calendar year. Obviously, Ian Maatsen has made the position his own but this match presents a great opportunity for the German international to make a name for himself and perhaps climb the pecking order.
