4. Christian Pulisic (€64m)
Christian Pulisic spent many seasons developing in the famous Borussia Dortmund youth academy. Widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in the world and garnering worldwide acclaim from his country USA, a lot of eyes were on Christian Pulisic while he was at BVB.
And he did not disappoint, either. The wide-man spent three years in the Borussia Dortmund first team and put in many great performances. Known for his blistering pace and ability to cut inside, Pulisic quickly became a fan favourite.
Such is the nature of football, Borussia Dortmund fans had to bid farewell to Christian Pulisic in 2019, when he moved to Chelsea for €64m. Ultimately, he was not a hit in the Premier League and four years down the line, Pulisic moved to Serie A where he is now a hit at AC Milan.
Either way, Pulisic makes this list as the fourth most expensive Borussia Dortmund sale of all-time, registering a €64m transfer fee.
