2. Sebastien Haller (€31m)
Borussia Dortmund's Africa Cup of Nations hero makes second on this list, after he was signed from Ajax in 2022 for €31m. Haller has almost played two full seasons with BVB but he is yet to stamp his authority on the first-team, despite being an invaluable squad player when called upon. In truth, competing with Fullkrug for a place in the starting eleven is not easy for anybody.
Ageing at 29 years old, Haller has had a great career so signing him for €31m was a great flex from Dortmund. He has won the Eredivisie twice, the Africa Cup of Nations and the DFB-Pokal. He is playing at the peak of his career but he is not getting many minutes.
This season, Haller has made just 11 Bundesliga appearances, in only four of those were he featured in the starting eleven. In truth, Haller cannot compete with Fullkrug in the starting lineup, which is a nice problem for Dortmund to have since Haller is an excellent backup option. You can't help but feel, though, that Haller deserves to be the starting attacker elsewhere.
