2. Ilkay Gundogan

It goes without saying that Ilkay Gundogan is a Borussia Dortmund legend. Having played over 100 Bundesliga matches for the club and scoring in the Champions League final, he looks back on his time at BVB with joy. The fans also appreciate his incredible work, joining the club as a youngster and leaving his mark forever.

However, a move away was always on the cards for Gundo. In 2016, Gundogan signed for Manchester City and the rest, as they say, is history. With the sky blue Premier League side, Gundogan played for seven years, winning the Premier League five times, the FA Cup twice, the EFL Cup four times and the Champions League once, in his final season.

Now he plays for Barcelona and is learning from one of the best to ever play his position, Xavi. A player who everybody loves and has committed himself to learning from the very best, even towards the end of his career. Gundo is welcome back in Dortmund anytime.
