Emre Can (4/10)

Can went into Saturday's game after showing an uptick in form. Against Union Berlin, he made the same mistakes that have frustrated BVB fans so many times since his move to the club. The BVB captain looked to be overwhelmed by the Union Berlin press in the first-half and cheaply gave the ball away on a number of occasions.

Pascal Groß (4/10)

Groß had arguably his worst game in Borussia Dortmund colours so far as he put in a tired shift in the middle of the park. He failed to offer any help in defence and also looked to be out of sorts with his passing. BVB looked much more in control after he was taken off.

Julian Brandt (6/10)

Brandt quietly had a decent game as he created a number of chances for his teammates. The BVB vice-captain also tried to help out defensively and won the majority of his duels. He also laid the ball up well for Ryerson's goal.
