The in-form Gittens wasn't able to make any impact against Union Berlin, as veteran full-back Christopher Trimmel had the measure of him. His decision making on the ball wasn't always the best either.

Maximilian Beier (4/10)

Beier was given the opportunity to play from the start and failed to make the most of it. He tried to make things happen but looked to be lacking confidence. He also missed a big opportunity to score early in the second-half.

Serhou Guirassy (5/10)

Guirassy had a couple of half-decent chances but wasn't able to make the most of them. For the majority of the game, though, he was left frustrated by the lack of support. The Union Berlin defenders also successfully managed to mark him out of the game.
