Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-0 defeat to Stuttgart
By Tushar Bahl
Emre Can (4/10)
Playing in a back three, Can had a difficult start to the game and gifted possession away on a couple of ocassions early on. While he won the majority of his duels and made some vital tackles, he also looked uncertain at times and was beaten too easily before Stuttgart's second goal.
Nico Schlotterbeck (4/10)
Schlotterbeck fought hard for the team and made a couple of vital recoveries. But he also gave Silas way too much space and time to score Stuttgart's second goal.
Mats Hummels (3/10)
Borussia Dortmund switched to a back three so that Hummels' lack of pace did not make him a liability against the pacy Stuttgart forwards. But he still never really looked comfortable and was caught chasing bodies time and time again. He also got attracted towards the ball for both of Stuttgart's goals, and ended up making the wrong decision.
