Marius Wolf (3/10)

Wolf started at right-back once again and had another evening to forget before being taken off at half-time due to injury. He never looked comfortable defensively and his most notable moment was his attempted cross that went into the stand behind the goal.

Salih Özcan (3/10)

Özcan failed to provide any stability on his return to the starting XI. The Turkish international found it difficult to deal with the wave of Stuttgart attacks. And he was outplayed far too easily time and time again in the end.

Marcel Sabitzer (5/10)

Sabitzer hit the post on one of Borussia Dortmund's few arrays into the opposition penalty area in the first-half. He tried to organize the midfield and get things going, but wasn't able to stem the tide. He was replaced by Brandt at half-time.

Julian Ryerson (4/10)

Ryerson had a decent first-half, and came to the rescue after Bynoe-Gittens' giveaway. But he struggled after switching to right wing-back, and was partly at fault for both of Stuttgart's goals. To add to his misery, he injured his knee in the closing stages.
