Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 3-2 defeat vs RB Leipzig
By Tushar Bahl
Thomas Meunier (4/10)
Meunier certainly didn't cover himself in glory with his attempted clearance before Hummels' red card. Plus, his runs into central midfield in the first-half also seemed ill-advised. He worked hard in the second-half, but understandibly looked off the pace having not played at this level for so long.
Mats Hummels (3/10)
Hummels was sent off for his last man challenge on Loïs Openda. Perhaps he thought that it would be a penalty and a yellow card, but it was a strange decision from someone so experienced to slide in that early in the game knowing he had very little chance of getting to the ball.
Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)
Schlotterbeck put in a hard-working shift for the team and won a number of vital duels. He looked confident on the ball and negated the Leipzig press really well, while also stopping a number of their attacks.
Ramy Bensebaini (4/10)
Bensebaini was unfortunate to score the own goal, but it was still a very strange decision to head the ball in that direction. He continually struggled defensively, while having a very limited impact going forward.
