Emre Can (4/10)

Once again, Emre Can had a difficult time playing in the number six role. He played a number of poor passes and the lack of creativity in the Borussia Dortmund midfield was apparent amid the RB Leipzig overloads. He did an okay job defensively, but a bit more composure on the ball from him would have gone a long way in helping BVB get a result.

Salih Özcan (5/10)

Özcan was overrun in midfield on a number of ocassions. But there was no questioning his desire and fight, as he also made several key recoveries for his side. The Turkish international did look uncomfortable when he was asked to venture forward, and some of his decision making left a lot to be desired.

Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt did not have the best of starts to the game and looked a little shaky early on. But he got better as the game went on, and delivered crosses for both of Borussia Dortmund's goals. He was involved in most of BVB's dangerous attacks in the closing stages.
