Borussia Dortmund managed to hold PSV Eindhoven to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie.

It certainly wasn't the most spectacular of performances, but Borussia Dortmund got the result they were looking for in Eindhoven. The Black and Yellows managed to keep the dangerous PSV forwards at bay for the most part, with the two sides playing out a 1-1 draw.

A controversial penalty call from the referee allowed Luuk de Jong to equalise from the spot for PSV after Donyell Malen had given Borussia Dortmund the lead.

The draw was certainly a fair result in the end, and leaves the tie fascinatingly poised ahead of the two teams' meeting at the Westfalenstadion next month. Here are our player ratings from Borussia Dortmund's 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven

Alexander Meyer (6/10)

Asked to replace Gregor Kobel at a moment's notice, Meyer actually had a very decent game between the sticks. He distributed the ball well and also came very close to saving the penalty.
