Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen
By Tushar Bahl
Julian Ryerson (6/10)
Ryerson had a decent game and did a solid job of keeping Álex Grimaldo at bay. He also helped set up Marcel Sabitzer with the best chance of the first-half. The Norwegian international switched over to left-back after the break, where he had some minor issues. But he still battled hard and kept things tight.
Mats Hummels (7/10)
Hummels continued his fine run of form against a Leverkusen side that started without a number nine. He made several crunching tackles, most notably to prevent substitute Patrik Schick from scoring late on.
Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)
Schlotterbeck also put in a solid shift at centre-back, even if Jeremie Frimpong caused him a few problems. He also recovered possession well on a number of occasions for Borussia Dortmund.
Ian Maatsen (4/10)
Maatsen had a torrid first-half against his compatriot Frimpong and was taken off at the break. Perhaps it was tiredness, but Maatsen was caught out of position on a few occasions.
