Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid
By Tushar Bahl
Emre Can (6/10)
Can did a solid job of marshalling the Borussia Dortmund defence and slotted in between the two centre-backs at times to allow the forward players to make things happen. He did not do much wrong but also failed to stamp his authority on the game.
Marcel Sabitzer (6/10)
Sabitzer looked very lively in the first-half and was involved in a lot of Borussia Dortmund's attacking moves. His impact was limited after the break, as he was asked to do a lot more defending. But he still stuck to his task and had a decent game overall.
Julian Brandt (7/10)
Brandt set up his teammates with a number of good chances in the first-half. The playmaker is a joy to watch in transition, and that was the case against Real Madrid as well as he started a number of dangerous BVB counter-attacks.
