Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid
By Tushar Bahl
Jadon Sancho (5/10)
Sancho failed to make any real impact on the game. The Real Madrid defenders had the measure of him despite BVB's dominance in the first-half, and he often struggled to find a way past them despite getting into good positions.
Karim Adeyemi (6/10)
Adeyemi was a handful for Dani Carvajal in the first-half, and nearly gave Borussia Dortmund the lead on a couple of occasions. But he wasn't able to make the most of his chances after finding his way into the box. His impact was limited after the break, and Edin Terzic then decided to take him off for Marco Reus.
Niclas Füllkrug (6/10)
Füllkrug was a handful for the Real Madrid defenders with his physicality and hold-up play. The Germany international also hit the post and forced a good save, but then failed to keep up with Carvajal for the opening goal. That poor piece of defending soured an otherwise strong performance.
