Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt
By Tushar Bahl
Donyell Malen (4/10)
Malen was a surprise pick for the starting XI and definitely looked a little rusty after getting limited game-time during pre-season. The Dutch forward's attempts to make a difference in attack didn't work out. And he was taken off at the hour mark.
Karim Adeyemi (4/10)
Like Malen, Adeyemi also endured a difficult evening and struggled to get involved in the false nine role.
Jamie Gittens (8/10)
Gittens doubled his tally for Bundesliga goals from last season by scoring a match-winning brace for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. The 20 year old made a decisive impact off the bench and showed that he is ready to play a leading role in the team. Gittens' lively performance will certainly offer plenty of encouragement to the BVB bosses, who will hope to see a breakout season from him.
Maximilian Beier (6/10)
Beier made his Bundesliga debut for Borussia Dortmund and showed some excellent movement without coming close to scoring.
