Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 3-0 defeat to Mainz 05
Mateu Morey (3/10)
The years of injury struggles have certainly taken their toll on Morey, and that was apparent on Saturday. The Spaniard failed to offer any defensive security and was often caught chasing behind the Mainz players. Edin Terzic decided to take him off at half-time.
Niklas Süle (4/10)
Süle showed again why he has been reduced to a back-up role at Borussia Dortmund. Wearing the captain's armband, the 28 year old was careless time and again in the first-half and was second best in the majority of his duels.
Nico Schlotterbeck (5/10)
Schlotterbeck wasn't able to match his performance from the PSG game, but was still one of Borussia Dortmund's better players on Saturday evening. He did make a few sloppy mistakes, but also stopped Mainz in their tracks on a number of occasions.
Marius Wolf (4/10)
Wolf had a torrid time once again and made a number of unforced errors. He struggled to link-up with his teammates and had also failed to offer much defensive security in what was his penultimate game for the club.
