Julian Ryerson (7/10) - The Norwegian international delivered a lively attacking performance and set up Adeyemi for his second goal moments after Heidenheim had halved the defecit. He also had a solid game defensively, and showed once again why he is regarded so highly at Borussia Dortmund.

Waldemar Anton (6/10) - Anton had a few nervy moments and lost sight of Marvin Pieringer in the lead-up to his goal. But he fared better in the second-half and also played some shrewd forward passes.

Niklas Süle (6/10) - Süle was once again a solid presence in the Borussia Dortmund defence and was also reliable with his passing. He did give away a penalty in the second-half which offered Heidenheim a route back into the game. But other than that, he had another decent game.

Ramy Bensebaini (6/10) - Replacing Nico Schlotterbeck in the starting XI, Bensebaini found himself very high up the pitch at times in the first-half. While his decision making wasn't always the best, he did showcase his versatility on both ends of the pitch. More playing time could be in the offing for the Algerian international in the coming weeks.
