Karim Adeyemi (9/10) - Adeyemi continued his inspired run of form by grabbing a brace and also setting up Donyell Malen for BVB's opening goal. It was perhaps Adeyemi's best performance in a BVB shirt, with his pace, directness, and skill in the final third causing the Heidenheim defenders all sorts of problems.

Donyell Malen (7/10) - Playing on the right, Malen was often looking to cut inside and opened the scoring early on. He looked especially lively in the first-half and linked up well with his teammates.

Serhou Guirassy (6/10) - Guirassy had a solid debut and showed glimpses of what he can bring to Borussia Dortmund. He was understandably a bit rusty, having not played competitively for three months. But he still made some shrewd decisions, including his dummy which allowed Adeyemi to score BVB's third goal.

Marcel Sabitzer (6/10) - Sabitzer came off the bench and kept things reasonably tight. He also had a goal ruled out due to a handball in the build-up.

Maximilian Beier, Yan Couto, Emre Can, Jamie Gittens (N/R)
