Borussia Dortmund player ratings from humiliating 5-1 defeat to Stuttgart
By Tushar Bahl
Marcel Sabitzer (5/10)
Asked to play at right wing once again despite publicly asking to be moved to a more central role, Sabitzer had a tough time on the pitch. He worked hard for the team off the ball but wasn't able to offer the attacking impetus Nuri Sahin was hoping for.
Karim Adeyemi (4/10)
Adeyemi failed to make any impact on the game and was taken off at half-time. His lack of consistency continues to be an issue in the BVB attack.
Serhou Guirassy (6/10)
Guirassy was kept quiet on his return to his former club but still managed to open his Bundesliga goalscoring account for Borussia Dortmund. He was starved of any decent service.
Jamie Gittens (6/10)
Gittens was left out of the starting XI despite his brace on Wednesday. The talented winger looked lively after coming on in the 30th minute and missed BVB's best chance to score late in the first-half. He then set up Guirassy for BVB's goal in the second-half.
Yan Couto (4/10)
Couto replaced Ryerson at half-time and didn't fare much better. He struggled defensively and did not offer much in attack either.
Ramy Bensebaini (3/10)
Bensebaini also had a rough outing at left-back after coming on at half-time. He was beaten far too easily before Stuttgart's third and fourth goal.
