Julian Ryerson (6/10)

Ryerson was asked to do a fair bit of defending, with Darmstadt doing a lot of their attacking from his flank. But he was up to the task as always and got stuck in for his side.

Mats Hummels (6/10)

Hummels wasn't asked to do much defending, but was able to deal with the danger quite comfortably whenever Darmstadt ventured forward.

Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)

Schlotterbeck had a solid game in defence and also played a number of shrewd forward passes over the course of the 90 minutes.

Ian Maatsen (8/10)

Maatsen was heavily involed in a lot of Borussia Dortmund's attacks, and also opened the scoring with a well taken finish from the edge of the box. He linked up well with his teammates, and helped make things happen over the course of the 90 minutes.
