Emre Can (6/10)

Can had his best game since the turn of the year and showed some of the attributes that prompted Edin Terzic to name him club captain at the start of the season. He sprayed the ball around well, won a lot of duels, and also made a couple of solid recoveries. He began to tire as the game went on, and some of his decision making in the second-half wasn't the best. He also had a red card rescinded late on, before making it 3-1 from the penalty spot.

Marco Reus (5/10)

Reus was rewarded for his recent performances with a spot in the starting XI. But he wasn't able to make the most of it despite coming close to scoring on a couple of occasions.

Julian Brandt (5/10)

Brandt's game was a mixed bag. The playmaker assisted the go-ahead goal for Borussia Dortmund with a precise cross, but he also carelessly lost the ball on a fair few occasions. His first-half performance was a tired one and certainly left a lot to be desired, but he still came up with a crucial assist in the end.
