It is still all to play for in the tie

It's only half-time, and the more difficult half has yet to come. PSG are a tough opponent, no matter what. They’ve already wrapped up the Ligue 1 title, and their league match with Nice this weekend has been postponed.

Luis Enrique will have his squad completely rested and focused on winning the second leg. We also have to remember what a difficult task it is playing at the Parc des Princes. France’s capital club might be bankrolled by Qatar, but their loyal fanbase is still a force to be reckoned with, especially inside their own stadium.

I’ll leave you with this: BVB have faced PSG three times this season, losing once, drawing once, and now winning once. I’ll also remind fans how close Marco Reus was to winning that draw at the death, and the loss came after a controversial penalty call against Mats Hummels, that was later deemed to have been incorrect.

It’s true, Borussia Dortmund got lucky with a few of PSG’s misses in the first leg. But then again, Dortmund missed their fair share too. A brutal second leg now awaits in Paris. And while BVB have the lead, they must deliver a similar performance next week if they want to make it to the Champions League final.
