With Edin Terzic leaving and Nuri Sahin coming in as head coach, some players in the Borussia Dortmund Squad will see increased opportunities and some will see less and could even be replaced. Some of Terzic’s favorites like Emre Can, Felix Nmecha and Niklas Fullkrug have been inconsistent this past season.

Players like Youssoufa Moukoko could see their first real opportunity in the first team while Ramy Bensebaini could go from out in the cold to having a small chance to return to the first team. UnderTerzic, the emphasis was always on a tall aerially, dominant striker with no care to that striker’s pace. We could also see this change under Sahin, who may favor a different approach.

The same can be said about Dortmund's defensive midfield. Emre Can, who became captain in part due to his close relationship with Terzic, could see his minutes threatened by potential new players that Sahin may target. Sebastian Kehl could restart his efforts to replace him with more success. Who could see their Dortmund career shortened or saved by an end to Edin Terzic’s time in Dortmund?
