Winner Jamie Bynoe-Gittens

Bynoe-Gittens would likely have been successful this season regardless but having just broken a 1,000 minutes for the first time JBG could be in for a breakout season. Many fans have begged for additional opportunities for Bynoe-Gittens but having  gone from 134 to 533 to now 1,058 JBG has been responsibly integrated to the first team.

What makes JBG a winner of the managerial change is the likelihood that the ball is played more on the ground and as Dortmund faces more low blocks JBG will get consistent minutes off the bench and as a rotation starter as his 1v1 ability is perfect for these types of games. Often checking to the ball to receive it, Bynoe-Gittens often had to turn before he could start at his defender. The managerial change should help fix this.

A true touchline winger, Bynoe-Gittens is not the best player to run off flick-ons from Fullkrug. A more mobile striker whether Moukoko or a new signing should help involve JBG more in build-up while also giving him a running partner when he gets to the end line in transition. Often criticized for his decision-making in the final third this was often due to Fullkrug’s lack of pace taking away options with few true poacher runs. A more mobile forward coupled with more service could see Bynoe-Gittens' creative numbers balloon. Bynoe-Gittens is of the age where he will develop regardless but Sahin’s system will hopefully provide more consistency for attacking players.
