Borussia Dortmund's striker conundrum seems to be ready to come to a head now that the signing of Serhou Guirassy has been officially announced. The former VFB Stuttgart striker joins the club after a sensational Bundesliga campaign with the Swabians, helping them to second place in the league behind champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Guirassy's signing was always going to send shockwaves through the squad as it was clear Dortmund could not go into next season with four strikers. The feeling was that at least one of Sébastien Haller, Niclas Füllkrug or Youssoufa Moukoko would depart the club.

Head coach Nuri Sahin, ahead of the signing, likely didn't expect the situation the club find themselves in now, however. The plan, according to reports, was always to have Guirassy and Füllkrug competing for pole position to lead Dortmund's line. Recent developments however have now pushed Füllkrug towards the exit door with AC Milan reportedly ready to give him the option to jump ship, should he wish to do so. Then there is also Moukoko to consider, who doesn't seem keen to leave and wants to use Sahin's appointment as a chance to revitalise his Dortmund career.

The situation then begs the question; Does Dortmund part ways with Haller, Füllkrug, or Moukoko? What would the repercussions of such a transfer exodus mean for the club? Lets take a closer at each possible outcome and how it would affect Dortmund in the short and long term.
