Borussia Dortmund have suffered a triple injury blow in attack with Karim Adeyemi, Julien Duranville, and Gio Reyna all facing spells on the sidelines.

It appears that Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Karim Adeyemi, Julien Duranville, and Gio Reyna until November, with Nuri Sahin revealing the trio's injury status during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Nuri Sahin announces Borussia Dortmund's triple injury blow

Adeyemi and Duranville both picked up injuries during Tuesday's 7-1 win over Celtic in the UEFA Champions League. While Reyna has been out of action since last month's international break, and has now suffered a setback in his bid to return to action.

"We have a few absentees. Duranville and Adeyemi will be out for a while," Nuri Sahin said. "We don't expect them to be available again until after the international break in November. Duranville noticed something during a sprint, but played through it. Unfortunately, he's out for now. That's bitter. He was on a good track. Gio Reyna has also had a setback and his schedule looks similar."

The triple injury blow leaves Borussia Dortmund very light in attack. Donyell Malen has also been dealing with an illness, but should make his return to the squad for Saturday's trip to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Jamie Gittens and Maximilian Beier are the other attacking players available to Sahin, while Julian Brandt and Marcel Sabitzer could also be asked to play in forward roles.

It will be interesting to see how Sahin reacts to this triple injury blow, with Borussia Dortmund facing a number of big games in the coming months. After the international break, the Black and Yellows are set to face the likes of Real Madrid and RB Leipzig, and will also travel to Wolfsburg for the second round of the DFB-Pokal.
