The clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving Dortmund fans with mixed emotions.

The draw against the league leaders Bayer Leverkusen was a highly anticipated matchup. Leverkusen were looking to extend their lead at the top of the table, while Dortmund was attempting to slide into fourth, ahead of RB Leipzig. Unfortunately, the performance from this Dortmund side was very underwhelming, as the team was set up to defend and seemed to have no desire to attack.

Julian Ryerson's early goal in the 5th minute sparked hope, but Victor Boniface's equalizer in the 79th minute dashed any aspirations of securing three points. For most of the game, Dortmund opted to defend the lead that Ryerson's goal had offered them, and allowed Leverkusen to dominate possession. There are clear problems in Edin Terzic's tactics that need to be addressed moving forward.
