Edin Terzic has revealed that Felix Nmecha is making good progress on his recovery from injury, but he expects the midfielder to be sidelined for a few more weeks.

Felix Nmecha picked up a hip injury during Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga clash against VfB Stuttgart, and has been sidelined ever since. And the Germany international is still weeks away from his return to action, Edin Terzic has now revealed.

Following Borussia Dortmund's 2-2 draw against AZ Alkmaar in a friendly match on Saturday, Terzic said (via Ruhr Nachrichten): "It's a really unfortunate spot on his hip, and the first thing is to restore the muscles and stability in the area with plenty of rest. Nevertheless, Felix is able to put more and more strain on it every day. Today, for example, he was able to do some light running again with little difficulty. He is making really good progress. But unfortunately we'll have to be patient for the next few weeks."

Borussia Dortmund signed Felix Nmecha as their replacement for Jude Bellingham following the England international's move to Real Madrid. The 23 year old has been forced to deal with a string of injury problems since his big money move from VfL Wolfsburg to the Black and Yellows in the summer.

Nmecha has managed to show glimpses of his quality and talent during his 15 appearances for the club, and also scored the winning goal against Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League group stage. But his frequent injury issues are certainly concering. And the hope at the club will be that he can return to action very soon.
