Edin Terzic hails 'outstanding person and great coach' Jürgen Klopp

Edin Terzic was full of praise of Jürgen Klopp following his decision to step down as Liverpool head coach at the end of the season.

Jürgen Klopp stunned the football world on Friday as he made the decision to step down as Liverpool head coach at the end of the current season. The former Borussia Dortmund trainer said that he made the decision as he is running out of energy after spending the last eight years at Liverpool.

Managers and coaches from around the world were quick to pay tribute to Klopp. Edin Terzic also heaped praise on the 56 year old, who was in charge of Borussia Dortmund for seven years and helped the club win two Bundesliga titles.

During his press conference on Friday, Terzic said, "It came as a surprise to me too. I know Jürgen and I know he thought this decision through carefully. He is an outstanding person and an incredibly great coach. He shaped our club like no one else. He has done the same at Liverpool. I am sure that there will be another station somewhere in his coaching career where he will do a similarly excellent job."

Jürgen Klopp has won the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League with Liverpool, and has the opportunity to lead the club to as many as four more titles during his final season. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Klopp, who is undoubtedly one of the best coaches of all time. And every football fan will certainly hope that we see him back in the dugout very soon.
