Edin Terzic has said that he is not surprised with the development of Chris Führich, who is enjoying an impressive breakthrough campaign with VfB Stuttgart.

Chris Führich has established himself as one of the best wingers in the Bundesliga this season, and has seven goals and seven assists to his name in 27 league appearances for VfB Stuttgart. His performances have also caught the eye of Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann, and the 26 year old is now well placed to be named in the squad for this summer's European Championship.

Führich, who came through the youth team ranks at Borussia Dortmund, had to take the long road to the top level. After an impressive season with Borussia Dortmund II in the fourth division, the winger joined SC Paderborn in the 2. Bundesliga, before moving to VfB Stuttgart one year later.

For Edin Terzic, Führich's impressive development comes as no surprise. During his press conference ahead of Borussia Dortmund's clash against VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, Terzic said, "I have known him for an extremely long time. His development doesn't surprise me at all. When he was at BVB, he was physically weaker. But his quality and creativity were already evident back then. He's had a very tough journey and had to hear no many times. But he has worked very hard to now come into the focus of the national team."

Chris Führich's performances have seen him attract the interest of a number of big clubs, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund all reportedly in the race for his signature. A number of English Premier League clubs are also showing interest in the winger, who is likely to leave Stuttgart this summer.
