Felix Nmecha's injury not expected to be a serious one
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund will not have to make do without Felix Nmecha for long, with multiple reports claiming that his injury is not a serious one.
Felix Nmecha was forced off with an injury in the first-half of Borussia Dortmund's 5-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart this past weekend. But the midfielder is not expected to be out for long, with WAZ claiming that he has received the initial all-clear. The report adds that the injury is not likely to keep him out of action for a long period, and he is even expected to return to training this week.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha's injury not serious
The Black and Yellows do not want to rush things as Nmecha faced a signifcant spell on the sidelines last season. But he could be in the squad for the Bundesliga match against VfL Bochum on Friday.
Nmecha has yet to establish himself at Borussia Dortmund, having joined for a fee in excess of 30 million euros from VfL Wolfsburg last year. He has shown glimpses of his quality, but has often struggled for form and fitness.
Nuri Sahin gave Nmecha his first start of the season against Heidenheim earlier this month, and praised his performance as Borussia Dortmund claimed a 4-2 win. He was given another opportunity to play from the start against VfB Stuttgart but had a tough time on the pitch before picking up his injury.
The hope at Borussia Dortmund will certainly be that Felix Nmecha can recover from his injury and return to action before long.
