The Euro 2024 knockout stage gets underway on June 29, and hosts Germany are set to square off against Denmark at the Westfalenstadion.
Dortmund will play host to what promises to be an exciting round of 16 tie between Germany and Denmark on Saturday evening. Julian Nagelsmann’s side enjoyed a strong group stage, and made it through to the knockout rounds without much fuss. They are now set for a potentially very tricky test against a Denmark side with plenty of talent and quality.
Three draws were enough to help the Danes qualify for the round of 16. Denmark managed to keep the star-studded England at bay during the group stage, and also kept a clean sheet against a talented Serbia attack. Now, they will hope to take inspiration from their stunning run at Euro 2020 and pull off an upset against Germany.
Leading the way for Denmark will be attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen, while talented striker Rasmus Højlund will also be crucial to their hopes. Germany, meanwhile, will bank on Jamal Musiala to continue his excellent run of form as Euro 2024 heads to the knockout stage.
