How Jadon Sancho might fit in at Borussia Dortmund after spectacular return from Manchester United

After finishing the hinrunde in fifth place and getting knocked out of the DFB-Pokal, Borussia Dortmund will be desperate to make amends in the second half of the season. And they have delivered a major statement of intent by bringing back Jadon Sancho on a loan deal from Manchester United. The forward returns to the scene of his Bundesliga breakthrough, and will hope to find his footing at the Westfalenstadion once again after a difficult two and a half years in the Premier League.
During his four seasons at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho blossomed into one of the most exciting forwards in the world. His numbers are a testament to that as he scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists. He also had a great on-pitch understanding with Erling Haaland and Marco Reus, which he will now hope to recreate with the likes of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Niclas Füllkrug, and Julian Brandt.
As Sancho looks to end his horror stay at Man United, BVB are primed to provide that escape, even if only temporarily. While a lot has changed at Borussia Dortmund since his move to Manchester, the 23 year old will feel right at home under Edin Terzic. The BVB head coach helped bring the best out of him during his final season in Dortmund, something Manchester United managers failed to replicate.
During his last few months at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho was in the best form of his life and played a key role in helping his side lift the DFB-Pokal trophy and secure Champions League qualification.
