Marco Reus is seemingly poised to make the switch to LA Galaxy, with multiple reports claiming that the two parties are in advanced talks.

After 12 seasons with Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus is set for the next chapter of his career. A move to the Major League Soccer has been heavily touted, and it seems that LA Galaxy could well be his next destination. According to multiple reports, the 35 year old is in advanced talks to join the MLS giants on a free transfer.

Charlotte FC were earlier leading the race for Reus' signature, having secured his discovery rights. But according to the Athletic, LA Galaxy have now taken over those rights, having reached an agreement with Charlotte FC. Salary could prove to be a sticking point though, with the report adding that Reus will not be able to earn more than $1.7 million as LA Galaxy's designated player slots are already filled.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia and Europe are also said to have submitted offers for Reus, who will make a decision on his future soon. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the attacking midfielder, who helped BVB reach the Champions League final in his final season with the club.

Reus has enjoyed an incredible career at Borussia Dortmund, and will leave as the club's second highest goal-scorer as well as fourth highest appearance maker of all time.

If the move to LA Galaxy does go through, Reus will join former Borussia Dortmund teammate Roman Bürki in the MLS. Bürki is the captain of St. Louis City SC, who are also in the Western Conference.
