Paris Brunner’s future remains uncertain despite improved Borussia Dortmund contract offer

Borussia Dortmund have submitted a contract extension offer with improved terms to Paris Brunner, but the talented forward is reportedly still reluctant to put pen to paper.
Despite his exemplary performances at the youth level for both Borussia Dortmund and the Germany U-17s team, there is a big question mark over Paris Brunner’s future at the club. The 18 year old’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season, and an extension does not appear to be in sight at the moment.
It had been reported previously that Brunner’s representatives were not happy with Borussia Dortmund’s contract offer. But according to Sky Sport, the Black and Yellows have now sent an improved offer that would see the forward earn a monthly salary of 40 thousand euros plus bonuses, as well as a signing fee and other incentives.
The report adds that Brunner is still said to be reluctant over signing an extension, but he has yet to make a final decision on his future. He will not be allowed to train with the Borussia Dortmund first-team until an agreement can be reached over an extension.
Borussia Dortmund will hope to find a resolution to Paris Brunner’s future soon, with just 12 months left on his current contract. He is rated very highly at the club, and scored 23 goals for the BVB U-19s in the recently concluded season. Brunner was also named the player of the tournament as he led Germany to the U-17 World Cup title last year.
