Borussia Dortmund midfielder Pascal Groß reflects on his Champions League debut
The game marked a memorable milestone for Groß, who joined Borussia Dortmund this summer. After the final whistle, he spoke about how special it is for him to play in the UEFA Champions League. "For me personally, getting to finally play in the Champions League was a dream come true. But I wasn't especially nervous. It was just another tough away game. We're still at the start of the season. The most important thing is that the team won."
Groß has slotted in seamlessly at Borussia Dortmund since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion, and has already established himself as a regular starter. He has also become an important player for the Germany national team, and played from the start in their Nations League matches against Hungary and the Netherlands this month.
Not many players can make a difference at the top level at the age of 33. And both Borussia Dortmund and Germany are lucky to have a player like Pascal Groß in their ranks. The versatile midfielder will now look to continue his fine run of form this weekend as another big game awaits BVB against VfB Stuttgart.
