Report: Samuel Bamba set to leave Borussia Dortmund when his contract expires in the summer
Young winger Samuel Bamba will likely leave Borussia Dortmund when his current contract with the club expires at the end of the season.
Samuel Bamba made his Bundesliga debut for Borussia Dortmund in December, and also earned rave reviews for his performances in training from Edin Terzic. But it appears that his time at the club will come to an end in the summer, with Sky Sport reporting that talks between the two parties over an extension to his expiring contract have not taken place as of yet.
The report adds that Bamba already has a number of offers from other clubs, although it currently remains to be seen what his potential destination might prove to be.
Bamba has primarily featured for the Borussia Dortmund U-23s in the 3. Liga this season, and has one goal to his name in 17 appearances. He also made seven appearances for the BVB U-19s in the UEFA Youth League, scoring two goals and assisting a further three.
When asked about Bamba following his first-team debut in December, Terzic said, "We know all about his potential and his qualities. But he also knows that there are still a few things he needs to work on. But he showed that he can be a difference-maker in the Bundesliga. He did really well. I hope he soaks it up and it makes him hungry for more."
Samuel Bamba joined Borussia Dortmund in 2013 and has come through the club's youth team ranks. He is currently sidelined with a muscle injury.
