Sebastian Kehl convinced Edin Terzic is the right man for the job at Borussia Dortmund

Sebastian Kehl has full faith in Edin Terzic's ability to turn things around at Borussia Dortmund after a dismal first half of the season in the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund find themselves in fifth place in the Bundesliga standings ahead of the start of the second half of the season. Edin Terzic came under a lot of criticism due to the team's poor performances before the winter break, and there were even some calls for him to be sacked. But Sebastian Kehl is convinced that the BVB head coach can turn the tide after the winter break.
In an interview with BILD, the Borussia Dortmund sporting director said, "We have complete confidence in Edin Terzic. We firmly believe that with this personnel set-up and the quality of the squad we have, we are capable of significantly better performances and that we can still achieve our goal of qualifying for the Champions League."
"That's why we didn't allow ourselves to be swayed by all the issues that have been discussed around us. I understand that the fans are disappointed with our performances. I've also been in the business long enough to know how the media report in such situations. However, our job is not to fuel speculation, but to focus on finding solutions to our issues."
While Kehl knows that winning the Bundesliga will be almost impossible for Borussia Dortmund, he is backing the players to find their form in the second half of the season and achieve their minimum goal of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. "We're not daydreamers, and certainly not naive, and we can read the table. Our foremost goal is to qualify for the Champions League. And we will achieve that," Kehl said.
Borussia Dortmund will resume their Bundesliga campaign this weekend as they travel to relegation threatened side SV Darmstadt. Edin Terzic's side will then take on FC Köln, before concluding January with a home game against VfL Bochum.
