Sebastian Kehl admits Gio Reyna's future at Borussia Dortmund is uncertain

Sebastian Kehl has admitted that he does not know whether Gio Reyna will stay at the club beyond this month amid dissatisfaction over his lack of playing time.
Gio Reyna has found playing time very hard to come by this season, and has only been on the pitch for a total of 321 minutes. Reports have claimed in recent weeks that the USMNT star has changed agents in a bid to secure a move away from Borussia Dortmund, and Real Sociedad are said to be interested in signing him.
Sebastian Kehl was asked about Reyna's struggles for playing time and the attacking midfielder's future during his appearance on Sky90 on Sunday. And the BVB sporting director refused to rule out the possibility of the 21 year old leaving.
"Gio has had a difficult time and hasn't played much. It's not easy with the line-up we have in midfield. There is a lot of competition for places in his position. I can understand that there might be a certain amount of dissatisfaction. But it's also important for him to step on the gas. I can't say at the moment whether he will stay."
With less than 18 months left on his Borussia Dortmund contract, it is currently unclear what the future holds for Gio Reyna. Both parties will be keen to reach a resolution one way or another by the summer transfer window. Reyna joined Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and has made a total of 119 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals and assisting a further 16.
