Germany have a very settled starting XI, and Julian Nagelsmann has resisted from making too many changes so far. He will be forced into a tough decision ahead of Friday's quarterfinal, with Jonathan Tah available again after missing the round of 16 due to suspension.

Nico Schlotterbeck put in an impressive shift against Denmark, and will hope to play from the start at centre-back against Spain as well. David Raum could also keep his place in the starting XI ahead of VfB Stuttgart left-back Maximilian Mittelstädt. While Florian Wirtz will look to make his return after dropping out for Leroy Sané for the Denmark game.

Spain are unlikely to make any major changes to their starting XI, having conceded just once at Euro 2024 so far. Bayer Leverkusen's Alejandro Grimaldo will likely have to make do with a spot on the bench. While Alvaro Morata will join Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal in the front three.

Expected Starting XIs

Spain: Simón - Carvajal, Le Normand, Laporte, Cucurella - Rodri, Pedri, Ruiz - Yamal. Williams - Morata

Germany: Neuer - Kimmich, Rüdiger, Tah, Raum - Andrich, Kroos, Gündoğan - Wirtz, Musiala - Havertz
