VfB Stuttgart head coach Sebastian Hoeneß has said that there is no bad blood between him and Waldemar Anton ahead of his return to the MHP Arena on Sunday.

Waldemar Anton is set to return to VfB Stuttgart for the first time since his summer move to Borussia Dortmund. The defender's decision to join BVB was a very controversial one in the eye of Stuttgart fans, but head coach Sebastian Hoeneß does not hold a grudge against him.

During his pre-match press conference, Hoeneß said that things could have been handled better at the time in terms of communication between the parties. He also warned that the centre-back can expect some boos from supporters when he returns to Stuttgart on Sunday.

"My opinion on this is clear: he behaved impeccably as captain and was an important point of contact for me over the year - as was Serhou [Guirassy], by the way," Hoeneß said (via Kicker). "There's no bad blood from my side - although I know that the communication could have been a little better.

Nuri Sahin also spoke about Anton during his press conference on Friday. And the Borussia Dortmund head coach was full of praise of the Germany international. "He's made a great contribution on and off the pitch. He takes responsibility, enjoys being here, communicates a lot, and is a complete professional," Sahin said.

After captaining VfB Stuttgart to a second place finish in the Bundesliga last season, Waldemar Anton made the switch to Borussia Dortmund this summer. The 28 year old has already established himself as a regular starter for BVB and is likely to be in the starting XI for the crunch Bundesliga clash against his former club on Sunday.

In addition to Anton, Serhou Guirassy also left VfB Stuttgart for Borussia Dortmund this past summer. The striker scored 30 goals in 30 appearances last season, and opened his goalscoring account for BVB earlier this week.
