Sven Mislintat may have to leave Borussia Dortmund just three months after his return to the club, with multiple reports in Germany claiming that his relationship with the club's other bosses has deteriorated quite significantly.

Borussia Dortmund appointed Sven Mislintat as the club's new technical director in May as part of their summer overhaul. The acclaimed talent spotter returned to the club seven years after his exit. But he could be about to leave the club for a second time due to his poor relationship with the likes of Sebastian Kehl, Nuri Sahin, and Lars Ricken.

Sven Mislintat's strained relationship with the other BVB bosses

According to BILD, the relationship between Mislintat and BVB head coach Sahin appears to be completely broken. The 51 year old has seemingly looked to overstep his authority on several occasions already, leading to arguments with both Kehl and Ricken as well.

This is being reported by Kicker, who add that Mislintat was appointed to assist and report to Borussia Dortmund sporting director Kehl. However, he has struggled to adhere to this new role. BILD add that he has even looked to approach potential transfer targets himself, even though his role is to only make recommendations.

Mislintat is also said to have argued against a move for Yan Couto. Ultimately, Kehl was able to prevail and the talented right-back joined Borussia Dortmund on an initial loan deal from Manchester City.

It remains to be seen whether these issues will lead to Mislintat leaving the club for the second time. According to WAZ, the BVB bosses would prefer not to part ways with Mislintat, just three months after his arrival.

The former Ajax sporting director previously left Borussia Dortmund to join Arsenal in 2017. He had been banished from the training ground in 2016 by then head coach Thomas Tuchel after a falling out between the two.
